CBIL has the following services to offer you in this Business Practice area:

Systematic Design of Training Programs

CBIL Instructional Designers use a systematic instructional design process to ensure that your employees acquire and use the skills and knowledge required to do their jobs. The process is outlined in the following table:

Phase

Description

Analysis CBILs Instructional Designers will work with your Subject Matter Experts to identify the training needs – what employees are required to learn in the course, and what methodologies will optimize this learning.
Design Development Using their knowledge of adult learning principles, the designers will design and develop a creative learning program, whether it is instructor-led, web-based, discussion-based, on-the-job, or a blended approach.

Instructional materials may include learner manuals, leader’s guides, job aids, and other reference materials.

Implementation CBIL can implement the program using professional facilitators, or help you implement the program using your own training personnel.
Evaluation CBIL can develop evaluation methods at any of the following levels:
  • Reaction to training – what did the learners think of the training experience?
  • Learning – what did the learners actually learn? This could involve written and/or performance-based testing.
  • Performance – did the learners apply the learning to their actual jobs?
  • Impact – what was the effect of the training on the company’s bottom line?

Process Picture Mapping – Work Instructions that Work

The Process Picture Map™ (PPM) is a job aid that incorporates pictures with work instructions. The PPM Writer uses an interview process that captures the "Best Known Way" to do something. PPMs are used to effectively communicate a process in a simple and logical way. The PPM may be used in hard copy or electronically. PPMs comply with ISO, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.

CBIL has partnered with Talsico, the creator of Process Picture Maps™ Software & Job Aiding process so that area companies may use this option for their procedure writing projects.

Advantages of using the Talsico Process Picture Map Software ™ are:

PPM™ software is based on how the brain most effectively processes information.

PPM™ processes enable you to create powerful procedures and job aids that:

comply with ISO, FDA, and other regulatory requirements

have a built-in review process that expedites editing, correction & approval

incorporate existing procedure numbering systems or create new numbering to easily fit into quality, safety, or production control systems

convert easily to electronic formats, such as PDFs or Word documents for easy retrieval and/or subsequent editing

are standardized for easy transfer to other facilities or locations

A PPM project can be as small as 10 or as large as a 1000. Our Business Practice Leader will come to your site to discuss the nature of your project and will help you estimate how many PPMs you will need. We have certified PPM writers available for any size project.
