Managing Change and Stress
The pace of change in today’s organizations is greater than ever.
Managers and employees must learn to cope with change effectively if the
organization is to thrive. Developing an understanding of how change works
in our modern economy and in our personal lives is the beginning of a
process of helping managers and employees to cope with the changes in
organizations that are inevitable.
CBIL can provide a change management program, adaptable to either a
“brown-bag” presentation of an hour or less or a half-day workshop for
employees at all levels. This program can help employees understand the
nature of change and stress in themselves as individuals and develop
personal stress management tools.
Meeting Planning and Facilitation
The next time you need to have a planning or project meeting, or an
offsite retreat, consider using an outside facilitator from CBIL. A
professional facilitator will
- provide a fresh, objective point of view and be free of biases based
on previously established alliances inside the organization
- create a safe environment for frank and open discussions, and can
identify issues that might be too risky for someone on the inside
- overcome communication blocks and get everyone involved, ensuring
that important issues get a full airing from everyone concerned
- identify key issues and keep discussion focused on those issues
without going off on unproductive tangents
- help develop clear goals and action items, with everyone knowing
what their follow-up responsibilities are
- encourage outside-the-box thinking for more creative solutions to
business problems
Of course, having an outside facilitator doesn't guarantee the success of
your plan, but having one can ensure that you’ll achieve the thorough,
objective, imaginative thinking required to create an effective strategy or
carry out an important project.
Team Building
Team building is the process of influencing a group of diverse
individuals, each with his/her own goals, needs, and perspective, to work
together effectively for the good of the organization, and to accomplish
more than the sum of their individual efforts. Effective team behavior is
often referred to as “synergy.”
The Team Building Payoff
- More support for tasks
- More commitment for projects
- Improved communication
- Faster and better conflict resolution
- Individual sense of purpose
- Increased individual job satisfaction
Why Invest in Team Effectiveness Programs?
Any organization can bring a group of people together and call them a
team. The key to organizational success lies in the effectiveness of the
team. Look at some of the differences between effective and ineffective
teams:
Team Building programs are offered in partnership with AchieveGlobal, DDI,
and our newest partner, HRDQ, the developer of Jungle Escape, a simulation
that surfaces issues in team planning, implementation, leadership, goal
setting, and problem solving.
Achieve Global Products
