In 2001, CBIL created and implemented an on-line climate survey for a risk and insurance services organization. The response rate was 75 percent. The prior year, a paper-and-pencil climate survey, implemented by the organization, garnered a response rate of less than 20 percent.
An online survey developed for a construction company yielded a response rate of 82 percent, across multiple locations.
In 2005, CBIL met with a leader in the power and automation technologies industry to assess their selection process. The organization was dissatisfied with their current hiring process and enlisted the expertise of CBIL to revamp the process. CBIL collected then documented the critical competencies as well as knowledge and skills requirements. From this information CBIL developed a validated selection process. The outcome of the process resulted in a reduction in recruiting efforts by more accurately identifying potential candidates as well as an increase in employee retention and productivity.
Yes, we do practice what we preach! We have used our research capabilities to address our business operating needs such as developing selection strategies, conducting job profiling to define new positions, and administering climate surveys to assess employee satisfaction.
A first of its kind. CBIL’s research department developed a St. Louis Regional Training survey to assess the training activities and needs of area businesses. CBIL reported the findings of the survey in a publicly available report. |
